My First BDJ Box Soiree Experience

It was the first BDJ Box Beauty Soiree for this year 2016. And it was also my first time to attend to this kind of event from BDJ Team. I got to meet with other BDJ Bellas at The Blackboard Restaurant in The Podium, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong.

I was luckily to get invites from BDJ Team for their BDJ Box Soiree: Kickstart Your New Look With L'Oreal Paris. And before the event, i received an email from the team. We were informed to come to the event with a clean face (without makeups on). Since it was a hair and makeup workshop, we also advised to bring our own hair and makeup tools and neccessities for the workshop. And all the makeup will be provided by L'Oreal Paris.
Before we enter the room, we were required to signup for attendance. And we were asked to choose from 5 style looks to choose from. I choose for the Age of Innocence Look and was assigned to seat in a 4B row. BTW, Bellas seating arrangement in group A and group B and has 5 rows. The 1st rows assigned for the Modern Femininity Look, 2nd row for the Working Girl Chic Look, 3rd row for the Youth Code Look, 4th, 5th row for the Evening Look.

                 
                                       

Top Hair and Makeup Experts from L'Oreal Paris Philippines shared us some beauty tips and tricks.

L'Oreal Philippines Matrix Education Manager Ms. Wee Manansala started the talk with Hair Color 101.

We had learned a lot during her discussion. At first Ms. Wee discussed to us the anatomy and the structure of our hair. To helps us to understand where the color goes when we applied it on our hair. And to know how the different types of hair colors differ to each other.

She also give us tips on how to find out which hair color would suit you.

First, just look at the color of your veins on your hand.

If it`s green - then the warm shades; like gold, red and copper are best for you.

If it`s blue - then you`re for cool shades; like ash and violet.

If it`s red - lucky for you, both warm and cool shades looks great on you.

After the first part of the workshop, we have a short break. We ate some yummy dishes served at the restaurant.

After the break, we proceeded with the next speaker. The Hair and Makeup Trends with Aiky Nar, who is The Hair Asia`s Most Outstanding Makeup Artist and the Grand Winner for Hairstyling of Mega Fashion Crew Reloaded 2014.

He showed to us Bellas the New Look for 2016.

Here are the tips he shared to us:

• Always put eye primer/concealer or liquid foundation on our eyelids, to help the eyeshadow color pop out and make the eyeshadow last longer.
• When applying for the eye shadow, it should be blended well. Like what he said ``Blending is the Key to Success! :D
• When buying for a foundation, it should have two kinds of shade.

             > skin tone color foundation

             > two shades darker on your skin

It was a funfilled afternoon full of beauty talks. And have the chance to meet other Bellas and find new friends. Before we leave the event, BDJ Box and L`Oreal Paris Philippines gave lootbags for all the attendees.
